Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using PurLayer ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

PurLayer is a Microsoft Purview strategy simulation platform that provides:

• Sector-specific data governance strategy simulations
• Compliance framework mapping and recommendations
• Strategy visualization and comparison tools
• PDF export functionality for strategy reports

The Service operates entirely in your browser and does not connect to live Microsoft Purview tenants. All simulations are based on predefined scenarios and industry best practices.

Subscription Plans

Free Plan

The Free plan includes:

• Access to Healthcare sector only
• Access to IP Protection objective only
• Unlimited simulations
• PDF exports with watermark

Professional Plan (£79/month)

The Professional plan includes:

• Access to all 6 sectors (Healthcare, Finance, Education, Government, Manufacturing, Energy)
• Access to all objectives across all sectors
• 10 simulations per calendar month
• PDF exports without watermark
• Priority email support

Billing and Payment

Professional subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring your prior approval for each charge, until you cancel your subscription.

All fees are in British Pounds (GBP) and are non-refundable except as required by law.

Usage Limits

Professional plan subscribers are limited to 10 simulations per calendar month. The simulation count resets on the first day of each month. Simulations include any complete strategy generation, regardless of whether it is exported to PDF.

Free plan users have unlimited simulations but are restricted to the Healthcare sector and IP Protection objective only.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Professional subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Professional features until the end of the paid period.

We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused simulations. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at hello@purlayer.com within 7 days of the charge.

Subscription Recovery

If you lose access to your Professional subscription (e.g., due to cleared browser data), you can restore it at any time by visiting the /verify page and entering your subscription email address. We will verify your active subscription with Stripe and restore your access immediately.

Microsoft, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, and related product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. PurLayer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or integrated with Microsoft Corporation. All references to Microsoft products are for descriptive purposes only.

User Responsibility

Do not share your Professional subscription access with others.
